Unanimous Vote Pushes Crystal River Commons Project Forward
After spending many years perfecting the development plan, the Crystal River Commons team was granted a well-deserved victory in a unanimous vote by the Board of County Commissioners. This final victory is due in large part to the solid support provided by neighbors and business leaders.
Last night's speakers included: Josh Wooten, Citrus County Chamber of Commerce; Buddy Fowler, Florida Express Environmental; Randy Clark, Clark Construction, Inc. and Otto Scharfschwerdt, Ajax Construction, Inc. We can't thank you enough. Other supporters in the audience didn't need to speak—it was clear we have a good project with solid support.
Vowing to protect the wetlands while boosting the local economy and bringing more local shopping options to citizens, the team made it clear: we can reinvigorate the economy while we protect the environment.
CRC will provide more than 1,000 jobs for the local economy and our commitment to excellence is well documented in other projects and places.
